With the US election concluded, crypto has had an impressive rally. In last week’s newsletter, I said “It is important in short term situations like this to not lose sight of the longer term trend of the next 12 months.” Referencing my Bitcoin Seasonality index, you can see a clear significant upside for the next 12 months. This recent rally is just a warm up of potential gains to come. I am working on additional charts like this to comprehend the macro cycles so stay tuned.
Large Caps
On a long term timeframe, Solana is still the top performing large cap and is outperforming Bitcoin in the last 365 days by 73%.
For large caps, here’s the ones that stand out on a long term timeframe:
- Dogecoin
- BNB
Dogecoin has now surpassed its high in the last 365 days and is outperforming BTC in the last 365 days by 35%. Its Sharpe Ratio is 1.12 which means it has excellent risk-adjusted returns. BNB is outperforming BTC in the last 365 days by 22% and is down 13% from its high. Its Sharpe Ratio is 1.63 which means it has excellent risk-adjusted returns.
Here’s the ones that stand out on a short term timeframe:
- Dogecoin
It is outperforming Bitcoin and Solana in the last 30 days and in the last 90 days by 40-70%.
Dogecoin is experiencing a massive rally and we were able to call this around $0.10 and the model portfolio is up an incredible amount. We still believe Dogecoin has a lot more room left to run as we progress through altcoin season, the final stage of the crypto 4-year cycle. We have a Dogecoin top indicator that we monitor as it can potentially top at a different time than the rest of the market. This has not triggered yet so we will keep holding until it does:
